Based on Yukin Yan’s experiences and everyday observations in London, A Little Tenderness follows a protagonist through an evening of unexpected encounters. A greeting from a window, a food delivery and an elderly lady asking for help crossing the street connect moments of city life. In responding to another person’s vulnerability, the protagonist discovers her own strength. Told through images and brief dialogue, the story combines playful characters, cinematic cityscapes and a limited colour palette to explore human connection and personal growth through tenderness towards others.
